Now its October
The man that predicted the end of world was on the news yesterday, saying he calculated it wrong. The end is supposed to be October 21st. I hope no one is listening to this. "No man knows the day nor the hour that the Lord is coming", "In an hour that you think not, the Son of Man will appear".
The Bible is fulfilling itself daily. Like it or not this man is being used. In the last days there will be scoffers who will say , where is the promise of His coming? The more this man predicts the man the skeptics will doubt that Jesus is coming back. He thinks that God is using him, but he is being used by a sinster power, that will cause people to doubt if Jesus is coming back.
Jesus is coming back, and we need to be ready. All of the people who gave this man money and did his bidding, need to read the Bible for themselves. There are many things that point to the return of Jesus, wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes, signs in nature as well as things happening in the Middle East. Jesus is coming soon. I think sooner than we dare think.
Here is another way of looking at this; maybe the Lord is trying to make people aware that He is coming back. He is trying to give everyone a chance to repent. Read the story of Noah. He preached 600 years with no converts except his family. We as Christians and as ministers need to keep preaching the message of the cross no matter how unpopular it is. Some churches have watered down the message so much. It's a come-as-you-are gospel. I think people have taken "come as you are" just a little to far. They don't have a fear or reverance for God or the things of God anymore. Going to church and going to a football game is not the same thing, but people treat it as such.
I had some family that asked questions about the end of the world. They didn't ask me, they discussed among themselves and concluded that they were going to ignore it, because they didn't know anything about it. In this case ignorance is not bliss. When Matt and I tried to talk about it with them, they changed the subject. Not talking about it won't make it go away. They need to read and ask questions and make a change in their lives. I have tried and tried to wittness to them as an example, in the way I treat them , but they don't want me to tell them anything. I pray for them. The problem is their attitude is taking others with them. I feel like they have such a bias against me, because I am a minister they have said things that have changed other's opinions about me. I can't stop the talk, but I can walk the walk.
Jesus is coming back soon. Are you ready? This man needs to stop misleading people. The public shouldn't be so gulible. They need to read the Bible for themselves. There are some very good translations out there as well as study helps. Talk to a minister, do something besides follow someone who believes in setting dates and times.
There was a song that we used to sing "Be ready when He comes, Be ready when He comes He's coming again so soon. Don't let Him catch with your work undone, Don't ket Him catch you with your work undone, He's coming again so soon. Jesus is coming!!!"
