God Uses Cracked Pots

"God Uses Cracked Pots" is a book written by Women of Faith speaker Patsy Clairmont.  It is my observation that God does use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. He uses those who have been wounded, bruised and used up by the world.  He wants vessels that are totally dependant on Him.

When suffering comes, there is the temptation to ask why me? Or to wonder where God is. I don't ask that anymore, I just ask God what are you trying to teach me.  When God is doing the refining in your life, He has to burn a lot of things out of you.  The burning process is painful. He has to burn selfishness out of you, He has to burn arrogance out of you. You are not the master of your fate or the captain of your soul. Some of us need to move over and let God do the driving.  This is hard, because we don't know where we are going. We have to trust God.  We don't like trusting God, because we have trust issues.  God allows things to come into our lives as a test or to humble you.

I am not good at taking tests. God makes sure you pass, He will keep giving you the test until you pass it.God uses us when we are broken, because we totally rely on Him. We have no confidence in ourselves or our ability.  He used Joseph, Moses and others who were broken to overcome obstacles. Joseph's brothers hated him and wanted to kill him. He was sold into slavery. He was wrongly accused of a crime and ended up in prison. Later God elevated him to prime minister of Egypt.   Moses took matters in his own hands, killing an Egyptian and burying his body in the sand. Later he had been in the desert for 40 years when God called him and used him to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

When God called Moses he said, I can't speak plain. God told him that He made Moses' mouth and He would speak through him.  I did the same thing when I was called to the ministry. God I don't see well, and God directed me to the passage of what He said to Moses.  I ran from my calling for a long time, because I didn't think God could use me. When growing up, I was a shy timid thing.  I can't preach like others, move a crowd by being loud. That may be their personality. My personality is more quiet. I have a quiet determination to teach the gospel.  He will use anyone who is willing to let God use them.

Just remember God does use Cracked Pots to carry out His mission and purpose......

Don't Argue Or Reason With The Devil

I was watching Jesse Duplantis last night and he was teaching on Jesus being tempted in the wilderness in Matthew chapter 4. I was reminded of something that I was working on. Class of 1975, I Graduated, Whats Next????

The class of 1975 made it through the Pomp and Circumstance” getting our high school diplomas. June 6, 1975 seems like so long ago, but at the same time it seems like it was only yesterday. SO many decisions that were made that would affect our lives forever. I don’t think that we should hold decisions made by an 18 or 19 year old accountable for the rest of their lives. I was 17 when I graduated from high school and I was a very sheltered 17 year old to say the least. I had never dated. I didn’t date until I was 21.
