An Audio message and and written messagefrom January Mark 4:35-41
Back in January during what out church calls "Consecration" month, each minter is asked to preach a message. There are usually two messages each night. This was on January 22 2013, I ministered with Crystal Mc Donald. We were told to preach on the 2nd aninoting and family. All I could think of was instructions. There were scriptures from the Old Testament Exodus 13 and the New Testament Acts 27 -25. As I worked on this message, my mind kept going back to the song "Your Cries Have Awoken The Master. Here is what I worked on at home

Acts 27
25 -34 and Mark 4 35-41
Your
Cries Have Awoken the Master
In
Acts 27 when reading it the one thing that stuck out in my spirit was unless
you stay in the ship we are all going down.
The
other thing was that they would come out of this “without a scratch” as it says
in the Message Bible. I was then reminded of another time that there was a boat
involved. In Mark 4 35-41
On
the same day, when evening was come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the
other side”. Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the
boats He was and the other boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm
arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He
was in the stern, asleep on a pillow, And they awoke Him and said to Him
“Teacher do You not care that we are perishing’? Them He arose and rebuked the
wind and said to the sea Peace Be Still’ And the wind ceased and there was a
great calm:…….
we
are told that Jesus and the disciples were in a boat and suddenly a great storm
arose, Jesus was asleep, the boat was filling and the disciples woke him up
Master don’t you care that we are perishing he rebuked the winds and the waves
“Peace be still, then He said to the disciples where is your faith
In
both instances we are comforted with situations that make us fearful and want
to run. It’s funny when we have a storm in life the first thing we want to do
is stop serving God. When He is the Mighty God the everlasting Father the first
the last Many saints are experiencing hard times and families are experiencing
hard times, this is when you cover yourself with the blood of Jesus and hang
on. I used to ask God why but now I ask what are you trying to show me. I heard
someone talking about the threshing process, God give it to me like this, I
like ceramics and you can take a lump of clay and make that flower pot, but it
just doesn’t appear, there is a process, it has to be put in water to soften
the clay, then put on the potter’s wheel, in that process, the person works
with the clay to mold and shape it , and then it has to dry, the person comes
back and cut and smooth’s all of the rough edges out and then it is put into
the fire when it comes out of the fire you put the paint and the glaze on it
and then it is fired for the second time and the finished product is a shiny
vase. There are no shortcuts to God, He puts us through the molding process, we
scream holler, but God knows what He is doing
I
am still in the molding process, I am learning to be a follower, A good leader
must know how to take instructions from others, there are still things that
have to be worked out in me but as in Exodus 12, we must follow Gods exact
instructions I can see someone asking why do we have to kill a lamb and put the
blood on the door, that looks tacky, it don’t take all of that, God honors
obedienc
Crossing
the calm sea with Jesus
The
disciples were getting concerned
The
winds were violently blowing
But
He was asleep in the stern
Does
he not care that we perish
We
are helpless and so afraid
Jesus
rose when they called Him and said to the where is your faith
Because
you have prayed all night
Because
you have held on with all of you’re might
Your
cries have woken the Master
He
knows your voice, lift your hands its time to rejoice
Child
your cries have woken the Master
It
hit you without any warning
That
storm in your life had begun
Seeing
no hope in the distance
You
are frightened and nowhere to run
By
now your Vessel is filling
And
you are thinking you will surely drown
Cause
you have cried out for help from the Savior you know you can’t give up now
Because
you have prayed all night
Because
you’ve held on with all of your might
He
knows your voice, lift your hand its timer to rejoice
Child
your cries have woken the Master
He
knows your voice its time to rejoice.
You’re
out there worried that He’s fast asleep
The
winds are so deadly, the water is so deep
Try
to be patient, soon He will bring peace
Just
one word from His voice it all must cease
Child
your cries have woken the Mas
Often God changes parts of your message when you get up to minister. Here is what happened when I got up to minister. I hope it is a blessing to you. I sometimes write better than I can talk.
