Things I Believe In

     A few years back Tonya Goodman Sykes wrote and sang a song called "The Things I Believe In". I have faith in His promises of things unseen, all because it's more than a dream. I'm building my life on the things I believe in. That's what I am trying to do, is build my life on the things I believe in.

     I believe that if you treat people right, I mean the way you wish to be treated  you will be treated the same way. If you show kindness to people, kindness will be shown to you. If you help people, others will help you.  I know my ideas and beliefs sound a little simplistic and old fashioned, but that's the way I am.

     I believe in the marriage vows. Even though sometimes I would really like to give my husband a piece of my mind.  I hold back, because I love him and some things aren't a matter of life and death and if I say too much, he may not be willing to help out if I need it. Marriage is compromise... lots of them.

     I believe in the sanctity of life.  I would love to have children. God didn't bless me with any, I can't imagine killing or putting one in harms way.  In order to get to heaven you must become as a little child. Not childish, but childlike. If you tell a child that you are going to do something, the child just knows you are going to do it. They haven't been jaded by life yet, they are trusting and innocent. They will ask you something and they are trusting that you will do whats best for them.

     I believe in hard work and dedication to a cause. If I name the Name of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I am held to a higher standard than most people. I expect that and would never intentionally mislead people, or hurt them.

     These are just some of the things I believe in.

Don't Argue Or Reason With The Devil

I was watching Jesse Duplantis last night and he was teaching on Jesus being tempted in the wilderness in Matthew chapter 4. I was reminded of something that I was working on. Class of 1975, I Graduated, Whats Next????

The class of 1975 made it through the Pomp and Circumstance” getting our high school diplomas. June 6, 1975 seems like so long ago, but at the same time it seems like it was only yesterday. SO many decisions that were made that would affect our lives forever. I don’t think that we should hold decisions made by an 18 or 19 year old accountable for the rest of their lives. I was 17 when I graduated from high school and I was a very sheltered 17 year old to say the least. I had never dated. I didn’t date until I was 21. It wasn’t a religious thing, it was more like my mind and my age finally caught up with each other. Some of our class would go to college, some would work and some went into the military. Some would do well in college, some would leave home and go wild, but would eventually settle down into a career, some would marry and divorce, others married later, some would have children and some didn’t.
